As a Principal Materials Corrosion Engineer on the project, duties may include the following:
Engineering services for Metallurgy, Materials and Corrosion Engineering, Materials Selection, Corrosion Assessment, Corrosion management, Cathodic Protection, Corrosion monitoring, Welding and Non Destructive Examination, Coatings, Insulation, Refractories, etc.) for Pipelines, Industrial Plant facilities, Refineries, jackets, structures for onshore and offshore projects (new and existing installations).
Extensive Experience in:
- Materials Selection;

- Corrosion management;
- Corrosion monitoring;
- Welding and NDT;
- Coatings;
- Refractories
- Insulation
- Cathodic Protection
- Should be able to manage projects as Lead Engineer and be responsible for the proper and timely execution of projects ensuring the Discipline quality management system and any project specific contractual requirements are met
- Provide leadership skills with ability to handle large teams in a multi-office environment.

- Philosophies.l
- Engineering Specifications.
- Materials Selection.
- Development of Reports/Studies.
- Corrosion Assessment Calculations.
- Corrosion Assessment.
- Material Selection Diagrams.
- Cathodic Protection Design.
- Technical Bid Evaluations.
- Material Requisitions.
- Vendor Data Review.
- Maintenance of the client specifications and standards.
- Liaising with counterparts in other offices.
- Awareness and review of emerging codes and technologies.
- Effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to the client and its customers.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision whilst maintaining the ability to deliver assigned projects on budget and on time.
- Ensures effective communications among other engineering disciplines, project management and Client teams.
- Defines the discipline scope of work and the required resources,
- Participates in daily meetings, project status meetings and is responsible for correct reporting of project status, progress, delays, change notices, performance measurement, lessons learned and close-out.
- Assumes responsibility for cost, schedule, material quantities, quality and budget control.
- Ensures effective management of change.
- Participates in meetings with other members of the project team and Client representatives.
- Takes personal responsibility for safety and a healthy environment on the projects and demonstrating this by example.
- Is able to contribute in development and growth of people (e.g. coach junior engineers).
- Is able to produce proposals for projects which involve man hour- and schedule estimates related to the discipline scope of work.
- Should be able to add value plus/optimization ideas.
